I haven’t done one of these for ages, and after reading The Beauty Belle, it made me allsorts o’ happy so feeling a li’l frivolous and superflous, I’ve filled it in too…

    Makeup!
Blush or Bronzer? Blush. I’m Kelly O pale, so bronzer is NOT for this english-rose-y complexion.
Lipgloss or Lipstick? Ohhh, that’s hard. Right now, I’m a li’l obsess-o by MAC and Illamasqua lipsticks. Sigh.
Eyeliner or Mascara? Eyeliner. Mainly because I wear eyelash extensions so don’t need mascara – they put me in a time-saving happy place. I use rimmel black eyeliner. LOVE it.
Foundation or Concealer? Concealer. ALWAYS concealer. Thank the Goddess for Benefit.
Neutral or Coloured Eyeshadow? Colours. I am not a neutral kinda girl.
Pressed or Loose Eyeshadow? Pressed. Mainly, because if it’s not it will end up on cheeks, dresses and generally everywhere apart from my eyes.
Brushes or Sponges? Brushes. I’m no make-up artist, but sponges just aren’t proper.

    Nails!
Long or Short? I keep them short, but if I could grow them, I’d LOVE long nails.
Acrylic or Natural? Natural. I’ve worn acrylics and they look lush, but I can’t keep up with the maintenance of it all, so instead I just paint them. Every day. Hot pink usually.
Brights or Darks? Brights. Darks show up every mistake, and this girl o’ SASS does not have a steady hand!

    Body!
Perfume or Body Splash? Perfume. Mainly because I don’t entirely know what body splash is?
Lotion or Body Butter? Lotion if I’m short o’ time, body butter after a bath.
Body Wash or Soap? Soap. Lush soap. Deelish.

    Fashion!
Jeans or Sweat Pants? sweat pants. I don’t own ANY trousers apart from my gym pants. Just call me Dita Von Teese!
Long Sleeve or Short? Short sleeves. I love an excuse to show off my ink.
    Dresses or Skirts? Dresses. Always.
Stripes or Plaid? Neither particularly rock my world.
Flip Flops or Sandals? Flip flops. I’m still wearing mine in November, only to the shop, but I’m still wearing them!
Scarves or Hats? Oh I do love a hat and have a particular penchant for a beret. Oh la la.
Studs or Dangly Earrings? Ohhh, I love ANY excuse to work the Pat Butcher look. The bigger the better.
Cowboy Boots or Riding Boots? Um…motorcycle boots?!
Jacket or Hoodie? I’m not going to lie, I DO love a hoodie. Comfort wins out.

    Hair!
Curly or Straight? Straight. I have NOT got a face for curls.
Bun or Ponytail? Ponytail and when I have enough hair, a high ponytail that swings when I walk.
Bobby Pins or Butterfly Clips? Bobby Pins. Finally the bob is long enough for Victory rolls and other such pin-up goodness – hurrah!
Hair Spray or Gel? Hair Spray. Gel is soo…well, 80’s innit?
Long or Short? Oooh tough. Long. I’ve been working a bob for long enough, I want vixen-length hair. Hurry up, already!
Light or Dark? Dark. Brunettes rule the world. Fact.
Side-swept Bangs or Full Bangs? Full Bettie Paige-esque bangs. Always.
Up or Down? I am a lazy moo, so up. With a floral accessory of some description.

    Random!
Rain or Shine? Rain. I love the rain, but I do love winter sunshine, it throws a very nice, uber-flattering light on the world…
Summer or Winter? Winter. The summer is no friend o’ mine.
Fall or Spring? Fall is by far my most favourite season o’ all, mainly because it’s my birthday, but the colours are pretty, the light is gorgeous and did I mention it was my birthday…I did? Oh.
Chocolate or Vanilla? I am a choc-girl fiend, so chocolate it is.

    Tie-Towel-2

I have been dying my ‘do for at least 15 years now, and the only way I’ve found NOT to stain towels and the bathroom is to do it topless, perched on the edge o’ the bath – classy, eh? – and despite that, I STILL manage to get a splodge of total-not-shifting dye on my personage which is why I’m now doing star-jumps o’ joy ’bout the Tie Towel.
    Enter the Tie Towel.

Designed by style-dude to the celebs, John Woods MBE , the Tie Towel is totally bleach and tint resistant, perfectly sculpted to fit the neck (so there’s nowhere for the dye to escape underneath and onto your skin – yep, I’ve been there too g-friend!) and features a toggle to keep the towel securely in place until your dye job is done – hurrah!

Now, I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting too much from the Tie Towel. BB contestant, Louise manages to make it look hot in the ad campaign for deffo, but could it get me through one dye-job stain free and without ruining my entire towel collection in the process? Turns out the answer is a resounding, big fat YES!
For real. It’s light, and you don’t have to worry about it falling off while you’re applying dye because the toggle ACTUALLY works and keeps it fixed in place – hurrah!
Of course I had a few spills, what can I say? I’m a messy-girl, but because this towel o’ awesomeness is bleach and tint-resistant, if you use it to wipe away the spills, you can simply pop it in the washing machine and it’ll be as good as new in one cycle – double hurrah!

Seriously, you could try and argue that a towel tied round my neck will do just the same job, and feel free, but I will not listen, because I will be too busy being stain-free, with a airing cupboard filled with stain-free towels, which makes me VERY happy, k?!

    235682_l

The Tie Towel is available from Asda, Boots and Superdrug for £9.99 – if you’re a regular dye-girl, it’s a deffo SASSY must-have.

Today is July 6th, which is National Kissing Day! Now, I’m not usually one for celebrating random holidays, but I feel quite strongly about getting my smooch on, seeing as its one of my favourite things to do!
    kiss
I have had many favourite kisses and I am sure you have had too-from the fiery, overwhelmingly passionate ones, to the slow movers that would make many a Mills and Boons novel, and I am sure you have, too. Here are some of my most memorable…

When I was fourteen at a school disco, I snogged forty boys and rated each of them. Perhaps slightly evil, it gave me good stead for the future.

Being crushed against a seafront railing with a reunion from my school days, with hands on top of mine like Rose in Titanic-which is one film I didn’t love-with the sea crashing behind me, the wind making my hair blow about. Sometimes the setting makes it more than it is!

When I went on a first date with the beau. I was really nervous and got through it by getting drunk on a dodgy cocktail and asking questions like ‘What is your favourite cheese?’ which luckily he found hilarious. He took my hand as he walked me home that starry night (and it really was), and it literally was movie star, as he moved slowly in for the kill like a gentleman. I still think about that kiss.

Finally, the endless kisses on my cheek and the hugs from my mum when I used to come home from Hong Kong. There is no comfort like a hug from a loved one.

Care to share about your most memorable smooch? Or your favourite lip salvation?

Sometimes in life there are things that I wish I didn’t have to do.
Washing-up. Hoovering. Anything domesticated, actually. And shaving/waxing/plucking/epilating. Because both are never ending.

Now, I can’t save anyone from doing the cleaning. But hairfree and carefree, I can. The Lumenis Lighsheer Duet is a revolution in hair removal and can zap your hair away FOREVER in fifteen minutes and four-six sessions. It can be used anywhere-face, bikini, armpits or legs, and it is pain free, super safe (it has a chilltip which protects the top layer of your skin) and works on any skin tone. Talking of skin tone, they can also use their amazing IPL technology to zap thread veins, scars and acne so its all just a little bit magical.

May 27th, 2010AimeeBeauty Queen, The Sassy List

The sun is out, as are our pins and tootsies, as well as the film that usually pays homage to shoes in more than one way-SATC2. Now your feet may not be the prettiest things in the world, but a little bit of TLC and a good pair of shoes can work wonders, so here is the Sassy List, to make your plates of meat into right Bobby Dazzlers!!
PS;see down at the bottom, for Scholl’s competition that can win you and some friends, 1000 quidders!

Preparation is key, and every girl wants pins that are silky smooth and a joy to look at. I love the feeling when Ive moisturized my legs and slipped them under clean sheets, it makes me feel all fresh and seductive. I don’t need to tell you-I hope I don’t anyway-that a hairless leg is where you need to begin. Which brings in Nair’s Pretty Party Sparkle! With a tropical scent and glittery gel, this is for the utmost of girly-girls.

Cracked Heels are a no-no and its always the first thing those pap lenses pick up when they are checking out Star’s shoes. Not only that, they are dry and sometimes painful, and in contrast, catch the sheets! Scholl’s Cracked Heel Repair, stimulates skin and rebuilds the cells. With clogs all the rage this summer, you’ll truly need it!

For those of us with alabaster legs, Barbie-it up with the new Fake Bake Instant self tan mousse. Super light and fast drying, its easy too which is more suitable for those that rush out of the door in the morning-like me. Its also non-mess, unlike me, with no colour transfer and comes with gloves so you don’t get orange hands. Bonus.

Pretty toes are of course, a must. And with all the fabulous nail colour’s out there, its easy enough to achieve. But stronger nails are the best-and with the extra stress from holiday sand and sea, they usually take a bit of a hammering. I swear by Ruby and Millie’s crystal nail file(16.00 from Boots) to get them in shape, and Collection 2000 for the base and top coat-its cheap enough to change your colour every week, too!

My favourite nail colours this summer, is Nails Inc; Kings of Neon range. A lotta brite, and a little pastel, its a good all rounder and can do all the trends from Romance to Jet-Set. At 22.00 for eight, its a sure-fire hit.
    kings-of-neon

Maintainance;-Its no good prepping and polishing, if you aren’t going to maintain. And with these handy blaggers, it is possible to do in the minimum of time.
Remember those crusty heels we were talking about earlier? Make sure you banish the hard and dead with one side of this Alida foot file, smooth and polish with the other side. Changing your shoes from winter to summer is bound to change the soles of your feet, so this is a good all rounder.

It would be fair to say that Scholl are truly the feet specialists and I cannot praise their products enough for maintainance. My personal favourites are the clear blister stickers-which are AMAZING because they hide in my shoes neatly, but they also have a gel section which comforts the section of my heel that catches my new Nike Hi-Top sandals.

As if they aren’t enough of a saviour, Scholl have also launched a competition ‘Keeping Britain on Its Feet’, searching for the nations hardest working heels. It could be a group of nurses, carers or teachers, and after a vote, they will not only win a pure pamper session from Scholl, they will also get 1000 hard cash. Find out more, here.

I am ALL about the pale.

I completely embrace my Kelly-O complexion and will never, ever be found without a parasol in the summer months, but it seems that it’s no longer just myself, Kelly O and Nicole Kidman flying the flag for pale, I don’t know whether it’s the British weather or the latest vampire trend – I’m Team Jacob, in case you were wondering – according to online beauty store Feelunique.com, sales of pale powders and foundations have soared by 200%.

“Porcelain skin is a classic, chic and glamorous look, but has long been shunned in favour of bronzed skin,”
