Become a beau with this bow from Emma Fielden, a marvelous milliner who we had the pleasure of interviewing here earlier this year here. Bows have been just a lil’ bit huge – in this case literally – for quite a while on the street and on the catwalks, and combined with the fabulous fluro, this headband is one big ‘WOW!’

Pull the rabbit out of the hat with this ‘Alice in Wonderland’ bag, 75.00, by Helen Rochfort. Whimsical and charming this printed bag with diamante and bow detailling is just the thing to take with you to see the new Tim Burton film which comes out next month. You are so cultural, darling.

Stripes and ruffles and monochrome-tres francaise! Jaime le ‘Camille’ dress, 48.00, by Renee-parfait for channeling that smouldering starlet inside of you. A beret, a trench, some good hosiery and t-bar heels teamed with red lipstick and all the boys will be whispering “Voulez-vous couchez avec moi?” to you….

It don’t mean a thing if you ain’t got that swing, and Jones and Jones know this only too well, with their ‘Swinging Rose’ skirt, 45.00. Work those hips and dance the night away in the knowledge that you look damn fine.

All the nice girls love a sailor, so get caught by a wrong-un in this “Your Eyes Lie’ vest, 30.00. Perfect for jeans and lazy days, its worth throwing your sensible cap off for.

February 9th, 2010Life Candy, Prod LoveYep, I’ve said it. And I’m waving my hands in a jazz hand motion above my head as I’m saying it.
I didn’t think it was possible to love a teev programme more than I loved Ugly Betty, but it turns out that’s only because I’d not seen Glee. It’s impossible to choose a stand-out moment, although ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ is never out of my head, but j’adore this not-seen-in-the-UK-yet clip because there is nothing I love more than a diva-off – Kurt, I heart you combined with Defying Gravity – my absolute go-girl power song. Before an important meeting, presentation or workshop, I’ll play this on my ipod, and it’ll fill me with complete SASSYfication so I’m prepped and ready for any situation.
There is seriously nothing not to love about Glee. It celebrates difference, it’s quirky, it’s filled with killer tunes, I’m crushin’ on the guy with a mohawk and best of all, it makes me smile. A lot.
Yep, I’m a Gleek.
So much so, that I’m even diggin’ fan mash ups on youtube – check out this dude, he’s freakin’ awesome…Needless to say I have the soundtrack on pre-order – it’s out next Monday, people – my ipod will never be the same again and I’m also thinking of declaring my love via tee with this li’l number…

I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to intro you to my partner in all things pink, Miss KittyPinkStars. She’s a kooky girl who lives in a candy pink gingerbread house full of crafting, kittens, rainbows, toys, love and craziness! She makes a rainbow collection of sock creatures that all have their very own felt friend. Inspired by her love of super bright colours, Japanese fruits, sweet treats, cartoons and all things kawaii and all made from the doodles that she thinks up in her bee-you-tiful candy floss mind! Come meet her, she’s freakin’ adorbz. Fact.

I am ALL about the pale.
I completely embrace my Kelly-O complexion and will never, ever be found without a parasol in the summer months, but it seems that it’s no longer just myself, Kelly O and Nicole Kidman flying the flag for pale, I don’t know whether it’s the British weather or the latest vampire trend – I’m Team Jacob, in case you were wondering – according to online beauty store Feelunique.com, sales of pale powders and foundations have soared by 200%.
“Porcelain skin is a classic, chic and glamorous look, but has long been shunned in favour of bronzed skin,” says Siobhan McDermott, head buyer at Feelunique.com. “It’s great to see that this trend is making women proud to be pale.” Get the look by dusting on the suits-all Bare Escentuals illuminating Veil, £19, at Bareescentuals.co.uk -

The idea of drawing pictures for a living fills me with total glee, but that would involve me actually being able to draw – boo – so instead, I like to indulge in the creativity of kick-ass, talented g-friends like Gemma Correll. Not only is she beyond clever with a felt-tip pen, she also shares my total love for pug dogs, in fact her tote bag is on my 12 gifts o’ Christmas list – j’adore.

First Love.
Everyone remembers their first love. The innocuous, the obsessional, the fleeting glances, the endless butterflies, the hours of snogging……insert sigh here.
Miss L and I have just been to a movie that managed to encounter all of that in the most beautiful way – Bright Star. The delightfully enchanting film, directed by Jane Campion made us swoon and cry in a first-love type fashion.
Based on the romance between the 19th Century new romantic poet, John Keats, and the stylish Fanny Brawne, who he nick-named ‘Minxtress’, the story takes us through their burgeoning romance up until his death, and one of the most famous love affairs in literature, unearthed nearly one hundred years later. The visual imagery, music and poetry is vulnerable yet absolutely stunning. Just like some of the items below…Sigh.

“Nothing ever becomes real till it is experienced.”Bright Star by John Keats £4.46 www.Amazon.co.uk

“A thing of beauty is a joy forever. Its loveliness increases so it will never pass into nothingness.”
Believe necklace – Disney Couture £21.75 www.asos.com
“I almost wish we were like butterflies and lived three summer days, three such days with you, I could fill with delight more than fifty common years.”
Butterfly lights £15.40 Laura Ashley
“This is the only gown with a triple-tiered mushroom collar in the whole of Hampstead.”Maybe not a triple-tiered collar, but this collar, £40.00 from LouLouLovesYou is the next best thing!

“Bright star, would I were steadfast as thou art
Not in lone splendour hung aloft the night,
And watching, with eternal lids apart,
Like nature’s patient sleepless eremite,
The moving waters at their priestlike task
Of pure ablution round earth’s human shores,
Or gazing on the new soft-fallen mask
Of snow upon the mountains and the moors;
No yet still steadfast, still unchangeable,
Pillow’d upon my fair love’s ripening breast,
To feel for ever its soft fall and swell,
Awake for ever in a sweet unrest,
Still, still to hear her tender-taken breath,
And so live ever or else swoon to death.”Swoon and Shine in Mimi Holliday lingerie Bra £42.00 French brief £30.00

It’s always hard to make the right choice when it comes to boykind, so I’m completely coveting this bracelet by MeandZena. Torn between Love, Hate, Like or Lust, it might just make me less fickle when I spin the dial on the heart charm, and possibly help to guide me in the right direction when it comes to those bad boys.
I very much doubt it, but when it looks as pretty as this, it’s worth a try, right?
And it doesn’t just come in bracelet form, but in a necklace (spotted on Pixie Lott) and earrings too. Darn it, those decisions just got harder!

October 28th, 2009Beauty Queen, Inner Minx, Prod Love, Want. Need. Must Have. This is by far my most favourite time of the year – it’s my b-day next week – Tuesday if you’d like to send a card, it’s autumn and I love me some autumn weather, I get to wear tights and stockings every day and best of all, it’s Halloween/Samhain/Day of the dead and I love nothing more than to indulge in allsorts of witchy goodness…

Hocus Pocus – Ohhh I love this movie – any excuse to check out SJP and Bette Midler work their magic! 300 years ago, the Sanderson sisters had bewitched people. Now it’s Halloween 1993 and Max Dennison has lit the candle that would bring the witches back to life! Now Max, Allison, and Dani must save all the kids in Salem from the witches including leader Winifred, goofy Sarah, and high-strung Mary who will steal the lives of children!

This October 31st, what better prodz to use to remove your halloween face paint and keep your skin looking clear and healthy with the Witch Cleansing and Toning Wipes (£1.95 for 5 or £3.91 for 25). Quick and easy to use, the wipes will leave your skin feeling refreshed and clean and remove any traces of your ghoulish vampire make up!

Put a spell on boykind with the Bewitching Burgundy Eye Kit from www.kittenvixen.com. Bewitching Burgundy is black with a hint of Burgundy, which, when applied to brown eyes, creates a rich intense undertone. On blue eyes, it creates hints of lilac; on green eyes, it’s simply stunning.

Thanks to my gorgeous friend Jase, I am a total Charmed freak – LOVE it. Set in my favourite city in the world, San Francisco, the ‘Charmed Ones’ journey from modern-day witches to sizzling supernatural siblings in episode after episode of enchanting entertainment. I NEED this boxset, if anyone wants to put a spell on me, they could do much worse than to buy me this for my birthday, which is next Tuesday people, did I mention that? It’s packed with beautiful beings – the boys of Charmed are HOT. Nick Lachey, I heart you – sensational storylines, remarkable special effects and emotional turmoil – Charmed: Seasons 1-8 is the perfect brew of supernatural entertainment.

“Why yes, my eyes are rather pretty, aren’t they?”
This has been my standard response to the gazillion compliments I’ve got over the last week since rockin’ Kitten Vixen Bewitching Burgundy eye kit. What’s that? Who are Kitten Vixen? Only my new favourite make-up brand. EVER.
Geraldine Shaker, make-up artist to the stars and one half of the fabu combo who created Kitten Vixen, believes that just as a well-tailored outfit enhances our figure and draws attention to our best assets, using the right tones on our face can make us appear significantly more beautiful.
Geraldine and her sister, Shanti created Kitten Vixen Cosmetics, Inc. to demystify the cosmetic use of colour. The brand offers women the colour knowledge of a professional make-up artist in a simple, fun way. The shades in the range are based on universal beauty colours that compliment all facial color spectrums regardless of age or ethnicity, by enhancing unique tones in eyes, lips and skin.
We’ve asked the gorgeous Miss Geraldine, who’s work has appeared all over the world, on catwalks from London to Milan to the billboards of the US and Australia, to share her Sassy beauty secrets and because she’s a total doll, she has – j’adore.
