I declared the 4-day Easter holiday an official ‘Chill, Chica’ holiday – no alcohol, no crazy late night/early morning shenanigans and no work, not even email checking.

Why? Because being a Sassy Minx is all about finding the balance. If you work hard and play hard, then you also need to make a date with your sweet self to rest and de-stress. Fact.

Now, I thought I had this whole ‘relaxing’ thing down, I am queen o’ sleep and can watch back-to-back Gossip Girl without feeling any guilt, but four whole days without a diary filled-to-the-brim with social events? What’s a girl to do?

I am an obsesso-girl for hair prods, and I’m not going to lie, my prods of choice are often decided by how pretty the packaging is – there, I said it – and that’s why I fell a little bit in love with the sexy new Play With Me range from Clynol.

The purple packaging makes you think naughty thoughts, I don’t know why, it just does, but it turns out these four fresh-scented stylin’ prods – Tease, Rocky, Matty and Texty – also gives long lasting, playable styling results that will hold out as long as you can…

All prods are £9.95 and my personal fave is the Matty texturising spray. To get a dry, light-wax effect with no crispy coating, just spray into the hair and rub in with fingers and let it dry – it lasts even in hot and humid conditions – LOVE it.

I love shoes.

The sharp curve on the heel of a  MIU MIU shoe fills me with deep, deep lust and I love the new Vivienne Westwood for Melissa heels so much that I’m on the waiting list for a pair. The trouble with heels, I feel, is that I am 5’10” without them, and 6’1” when strapped in. Which is great if you’re a supermodel, or you’re Brook Shields in Lipstick Jungle – now she knows how to rock the heel – but not so great when you’re me and you tower over men in nightclubs, your friends are all 5ft 5 and you walk into street bollards, as they only reach mid-thigh.

Coco Chanel was a Sassy Minx; feisty, fabulous and freakin’ stylish. She famously said “a girl should be two things; classy and fabulous” and so with this in mind, it makes total sense that my long-term girl-crush, Amelie star, Audrey Tautou, is playing the celebrated fashion designer in Coco avant Chanel, the first of the Coco Chanel battling biopics to be released this April.

I’m not going to lie, I love Gisele Scanlon a little bit.
She may be THE go-to girl for swank locales, beauty and fashion, yet she’s not your stereotypical fashionista. F’sure, she might swoon over designer dresses and have the name of every need-to-know designer type on speed dial, but she also washes her hair every third day and is actually really, really nice – just check out the video on her Amazon page – adorbz.
