I’m currently searching for a suitably sassy pink pad that’s fit for a princess – me, obv.

Now, unfortunately, that’s proving quite difficult, but my wall candy? Well, that’s not a difficult decision at all, because I’ve already decided that I want absolutely everything from the Made by Girl shop o’ pretty. Simple as that.

Made By Girl Creator-girl, Jennifer Ramos, designs pretty, pretty prints and cards that will make your eyes happy, your heart full and your world just that li’l bit  sweeter.

It’s a simple equation: Jennifer + creative tools, like, colouring pens, paints, a ‘puter = pretty prints that will make you smile. What’s not to love, exactly?

madebygirl3-1So, what is Made By Girl? Care to share?
It’s a card & print business online that I created by myself. We sell to online customers as well as on a wholesale basis to retailers. I design a full range of colorful cards & prints, 90% earth-friendly and 100% stylish!

Your prods rock our world and we want ALL of them – is it hard to be creative and business-y? How do you find a balance?

Since I’m an entrepreneur by nature, I think they both come naturally. I admit there are times when I feel I’ve lost my creativity and I panic….So in order to regain it, I have to look through magazines, read design blogs etc.

Reading your blog and checking out your awesome pix, it’s clear that your business is a total reflection of who you truly are – how did you make that happen?!
I think it more or less just evolved that way, in the same way I have evolved. When I first started, even my designs were slightly different. But I’m not afraid of change…I embrace it quite well.  My entire business is definitely a reflection of who I am.

Tell us who inspires you/who you admire and why?
I love Paula Scher, the fact that she doesn’t know much about computers, yet creates the most captivating illustrations/typographical designs. Her work is all over New York city – and is well know within the industry. Also, David Carson comes to mind.  The reason I like him, is because he uses type in such a unique manner. To me, he defines unique.  I’ve rarely seen anyone out there using type the way he does….just brilliant.  I wish I could listen to what he’s thinking as he creates his designs…

    What makes you jump-in-the-air happy?
Honestly, the weekends. Or when I know I can just sit at home watch a movie & relax. It’s that simple.

    What’s your life motto?
“…The only way to realize your dream is to act on it…”

What’s your fave prod right now and why will Sassy Minxes love it?
My favorite is my newest print, which I am launching in the next few days called” I love you, blogs and coffee.” It’s a slightly different twist on my other “blogs & Tea” print, this time I use typography instead of paint strokes.

Quick fire round: What’s your favourite…

What’s next in the world o’ Made By Girl?
