It’s official – the most fabulous British burlesque performer, Missy Malone has become a Sassy Minx – hurrah!
Missy is renown throughout Europe for her high calibre performances that mix her classic 1950’s pin-up style with modern rock energy – she’s super-glam, super-fabulous and she’s now on my list o’ favourite ladies…Minxes, meet Missy – she’s awesome.

Describe yourself in five words, Missy…
Loyal, Loving, Ambitious, Hard Working, Perfectionist.

What is it that you do exactly?
I am a full time professional Burlesque Performer, Actress and Model. I also have a Hons Degree in Performance Costume Design.

How did you discover burlesque or did it discover you?
It discovered me really! I was part of a youth theatre and through that I went on a summer workshop to learn circus skills after that I performed my “circus” acts and the style of costume/music I chose was 50’s/burlesque in style (as I was into 50’s/rockabilly stuff) so people started saying I looked like an old showgirl, so I looked up Burlesque & fell in love!

What do you love most about what you do?
Performing on stage, meeting interesting people and traveling the world! Also being in control of my job 100%.

Is being glamorous hard work?
Well I am super organised so it’s a lot of work, but I enjoy it – hair anmd ake up always takes time!

What’s your glam-girl routine before a performance?
I set my hair in pin curls the night before & wax/shave the night before. I then get as early a night as poss! I usually do my make up on the train ride (I don’t drive). Take my hair out 10mins before the show.

You and the fabulous Leyla Rose host burlesque workshops – what could we expect to learn?
We teach two different half’s to the workshop. Leyla’s half teaches Bump/Grind & Shimmy tequnices and my half is Fandance skills!

What’s your life motto?
Live life to the full you might get hit by a bus tomorrow!

What do you love most about being a girl in the world?
Dressing up and being treated well by handsome men!
