If you love the pretty, then you’ll deffo heart Pretty by Pistachio, a brand-new handmade jewellery and accessories brand – tres joile!

Each piece is made individually to order by the adorbz Miss Louise.

Things you should know about Louise: she has two cats, Ruby and Leo. She dyes her hair too much, gets excited over anything to do with stationery and has a serious addiction to property programmes. Oh, and she creates this bee-you-tiful handmade jewellery to share with you lovely people too, obv.

FYI: I am a li’l bit in awe of her playlist. AH-freakin’-MAZIN’.

So, what is Pretty by Pistachio? Care to share?
Pretty by Pistachio is an exciting new brand specialising in handmade floral jewellery. The collection features an array of vintage inspired rings, earrings, brooches and hair slides.

When did you set it up and why?
PBP was set up in March 2009. After being made redundant at the beginning of the year, I needed to do something creative with my time. I had already fallen in love with etsy and couldn’t wait to set up my own lil shop on the site.

When did you realise that you were a create-o-girl and that you could do it as an actual job?

Unfortunately, PBP does not yet bring in enough money to enable me to do this full time. I have a day job in Marketing which is great and it pays the bills, without it PBP wouldn’t be possible. I dream of being able to live off my hobby and hope that one day it will be possible.

Tell us about your creative process – what’s a typical day for PBP?
When I get in from work, the first thing I do is switch on my laptop and check my emails. I will then pop the kettle on and spend a little while catching up with my favourite blogs whilst doing some research for my own blog. After dinner, I usually spend the evening making new items and promoting my shop.

Your prods are bee-youtiful – which are your faves? What are your best selling items?
Thanks Lisa! My absolute favourite ring of the moment is from the Chrysanthemum Collection. The grey flower on the gunmetal band is an amazing contrast. I think that PBP has not been open for long enough to say that I have a best seller but I would say that the Latte Chrysanthemum ring and the Snow White Chrysanthemum ring definitely get a lot of attention.

What five tracks would be essential to a PBP soundtrack?

Wow, there are loads. The top five that spring into my head are:

9 to 5 by Dolly Parton, Amazed by Lone Star, For Lovers by Wolfman and Pete Doherty, We built this City by Starship and Dancing on the Ceiling by Lionel Richie.

    Who are your style icons?

Fearne Cotton is amazing. I definitely have a girl crush. Her style is so individual and she can pull off any look.

What are your five must-have items?
    1.       My Laptop
    2.       Mobile
    3.       Digital Camera
    4.       A good book
    5.       A cup of tea

We love to visit new places – can you introduce us to your city? what would be your perfect way to spend a day there? what would you do? Where would you go?
Its not a city, more of a County. I live in Kent, the Garden of England. A perfect day would be a lazy Sunday in bed reading the papers and catching up with my favourite blogs before driving down to the Coast, and sitting on the beach with my man, fish and chips and a cold Cider.

    Who are your inspir-o-girls?
My mum is amazing. She has been through so much and always stays strong. She is always there for me and I admire her. Love you mum!

    What makes you jump-in-the-air happy?
Each and every time I get a sale, I get soooo excited. I love packaging up the orders and making them all pretty so that the recipient feels like they are opening a present.
