Something ’spooky’ for the weekend
0
October 29th, 2009Beauty Queen, Want. Need. Must Have.I’m sure all you Sassy Minxes are desperate to get away from your work desks as one of the most prolific dressing-up weekends is amongst us – Happy Halloween! I confess I haven’t been so organised this year, and I am relying on a black puffball dress and cat ears – my lack of effort is evident – to carry me through the Monster Mash with old friends in Nottingham, whilst Miss L is off to wonderful Glastobury to do some enchanting magic. Here are some spellbinding ideas for your weekend -what are you doing to celebrate?

In preparation for the big night, I am planning on chilling in my new star print pyjamas and watching True Blood to distract me from the constant knocks at the door from ‘Trick or Treaters’. The series of ‘vampire-porn-with Vinnie from Home and Away’ has already got me hooked!

I usually hate for my hair to look frightful, but it’s totally okay when I am wearing one of these amazing Hammer Horror hairclips from Heidi Seeker!

From dusk til dawn, put a spell of shoe envy where ever you may go!

Its been all over the catwalk and now MAC are showing you how to mix it up and go back to black with lipstick and my favourite ‘the smoky eye’. Okay, the black lipstick is a little bit terrifying, but we know our Sassy Minxes are never scared of trying something new.

Finally, as we mentioned earlier this month, October is all about Breast Cancer Awareness. Its not strictly in theme for Halloween, but this set from Floozie at Debenhams made me feel magical and at an amazing price, this gorgeous silk set doesn’t just signify ‘Something for the Weekend’, it also donates some of the proceeds to Breast Cancer campaign.

Whether you are hiding behind the sofa or hooking up with a hot werewolf over punch, we hope you have a great spook-filled weekend!
